Cyber-Physical Safety in Practice: An Encore Presentation from the ISA OT Cybersecurity Summit

Date and time: 18 August 2026, 10:00 a.m. ET

Industrial organizations face growing pressure to align cybersecurity with safety requirements. This encore presentation from the ISA OT Cybersecurity Summit explores how TÜV SÜD applies audit and inspection experience to help industrial companies—particularly SMEs—address cyber-physical safety through practical frameworks such as Germany’s TRBS 1115-1, ISO/IEC 27001 and ISA/IEC 62443.

Using real-world challenges such as remote service-provider access, weak network segmentation, shared accounts and safety-critical equipment inspections, the session examines how evolving requirements from the Machinery Directive, Cyber Resilience Act and NIS2 are driving the need for sustainable OT cybersecurity operations.
